Refund Policy

Akarat projects are built to order, so we keep refunds simple and fair: clear up front, and revisions first.
01How projects are paid
Each Akarat project is custom work for one development. Unless your proposal says otherwise, it is paid in two parts: a deposit of [50]% when you confirm the project, and the balance when the experience is delivered for launch. Hosting and ongoing services are billed separately as a subscription.
02Before work starts
If you cancel before we start building your model, which is usually once we have received your plans, we refund your deposit in full, minus any payment processing fees we cannot recover.
03Once work has started
Because the work is made specifically for your project, the deposit is not refundable once modelling has begun. If you cancel part way through, we will hand over the work completed so far in a format we agree with you, and you will not owe the balance.
04Revisions come before refunds
Every project includes one round of revisions covering units, finishes and surroundings. If something is not right, tell us within [14] days of receiving the first draft and we will fix it. Requests that change the agreed scope, such as new unit types or new buildings, are quoted separately and are not grounds for a refund.
05If we do not deliver
If we are unable to deliver the agreed experience for reasons within our control, and we cannot resolve it within [30] days of you telling us in writing, we refund the fees paid for the part that was not delivered.
06Subscriptions
Hosting and ongoing services can be cancelled at any time with [30] days notice and stop at the end of the paid period. We do not refund partial periods, except where the service was unavailable for a significant time because of a problem on our side.
07How to request a refund
Email collab@diversestudio.co with your company name, the project and the reason for your request. We reply within [5] working days, and approved refunds are paid to the original payment method within [14] days.
